Hand Painted Paper Butterfly II Framed Art

This group centers on my love of textile patterns and nature, focusing on butterflies.  The intricate patterns in butterfly wings are endless.  I begin with a giclee print of one of my butterfly paintings, and hand cut around the image.  I guild the edges with 24 K gold mineral powder from Italy and add detail to the wings with more gold.  The cut-out is then placed on a foam core structure to give the art a 3 dimensional effect.  We hand frame them in our studio in a white contemporary shadow box frame with glass.  

This image is 12"x12" and comes with hanging hardware on the back.  Perfect to set upon a desk or shelf, or hang in a special spot.
