New England Morning Original Painting

This is a mixed media (acrylic and oil) painting on a cradled birch panel.  It was inspired by my morning walks and hikes in the woods.  The panel size is 20"x20" framed in antique walnut.  The frame width is about 1/2" wide and has a lot of texture and character.  The frame is made from wood that was salvaged from a 200 year old barn in Connecticut.  Please note that the frame has nail holes, worm holes and rough patches in keeping with it's history and age.  The painting also has many layers of paint and patina.
